If the engine comes out, so does the harness! (It would've helped with overspray on it) FYI, *if* you do wish to remove the harness completely, there is a bracket under the dash EXACTLY where the harness comes through the firewall. 2 bolts hold the bracket, undo it, or simply cut it off to get the room to pull it through. (De-pinning the one connector, or bending the firewall is ridiculous when this solution is so easy) You had the water galleys cleaned out when you had the shop work over the block? It's alot of work, lots of blood and sweat, I hope you truly get to enjoy it later. :-)
